Griot & Grey Owl returns for a weekend celebrating Black writers, poets, storytellers, educators, performers, readers, and the communities that sustain them.
This year’s Southern Black Writers Con-Fest centers rest, resilience, and radical joy while honoring the stories, histories, and voices that have carried us forward.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will experience engaging conversations, creative programming, literary community, live performances, and opportunities to rest, connect, and celebrate.

Attendee registration
After purchasing a ticket, each attendee will receive instructions for completing their attendee registration.
This registration helps us prepare badges, accessibility accommodations, dietary information where applicable, and other conference details.
Ticket delivery
Tickets will be delivered electronically by email and will include a unique QR code. Attendees should have the QR code available on their phone or as a printed copy at conference check-in.
